Anubis was the jackal-headed guardian of the dead, a deity who accompanied the dead in their journey to the afterlife. In Rome, this god became merged with the Roman/Greek deity that guided the dead (Mercury/Hermes), becoming the Roman "Hermanubis."
Status of Set 8
Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
As is, one will notice missing elements, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; ability titles are English, rather than Latin.
