"Vlad Tepes, the Impaler Prince, is one of the most famous Romanians in history, known for his bloody and vicious battles against the Turkish Empire. His actions has led to many a tale told, some more mythical than others. Beyazid I, the Thunderbolt, laid siege to Constantinople and a crusade was lead against him to liberate the city. He defeated the crusaders in the Battle of Nictopolis, laying the groundwork that would eventually lead to the fall of the city. How would these two have fared if they had met? You can find out in the Anachronism™ Arena!"
(Since Beyazid I was part of the Set 6 starter box, he shares an abbreviated blurb with the other warrior in the pack, Vlad Tepes.)
Trivia
- The Mongol invasion referenced on Beyazid's card was lead by the famous conqueror, Timur Lenk (a.k.a., Tamburlaine).
