The Triumvirate was a behind-the-scenes alliance among Crassus, Julius Caesar, and Pompey. The allied power and influence of these three statesmen made them the real power in Rome. The Triumvirate lasted less than a decade; after Crassus died at Carrhae in 53 BCE, Pompey and Julius eventually drifted away from each other and into civil war.

Status of Set 8

Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
