During the Second Punic War, Romw was able to conquer the Carthaginian holdings in the Iberian peninsula (Hispania). They came to like the swords they found the Celtiberians using, and adapted the Gladius Hispaniensis into the later Imperial sword known as the Gladius.
Status of Set 8
Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
As is, one will notice missing elements, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; ability titles are English, rather than Latin.
