Hamilcar was the patriarch of the Barca family, and an accomplished general and statesman. He fought Rome during the First Punic War, distinguishing himself with his service in Sicily. After Carthage started losing the naval battles, Hamilcar eventually had to withdraw due to lack of fresh supplies. Though defeated, the Carthaginian general made up for the loss of Sicily by looking toward a new clutch of colonies, on the Iberian peninsula.

Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
As is, one will notice things missing, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; card names and ability titles are English, rather than Punic.
