Haubergeon

Page history last edited by MindBomber 16 years, 5 months ago

A haubergeon is a variation on a hauberk, or chainmail shirt. The "little hauberk" is shorter with partial sleeves.

Status of Set 8

Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled as part of a prize to dedicated players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.

As is, one will notice missing elements, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; ability titles are English, rather than Old English.

(8) Haubergeon

Defensive Stance: At the start of your turn, remove all counters from this card. After you complete an attack roll, if the difference between the dice in your attack roll is greater than 2, place a counter on this card. When you make a defense roll, if there is a counter on this card, the roll gains +2.

Warrior Pack

Haubergeon comes with the King Edward warrior pack.

Rulings

From the QCT

How do rolls containing 3 or more dice work with cards that say "if the diffrence between the dice is x, do such and such."? I'm thinking mostly of herakles with cards like the new Haubergen.

-If any two of the dice are different enough to create the condition required by your card, the card ability is triggered.

For example, if Herakles rolls 1, 5, and 6 for an attack, the 1 and 5 or 1 and 6 create the condition and the card is triggered. Note that the card will still only trigger once for any roll, even if there are multiple possible pairs of dice that create the correct condition.
