- Seriously, that's what the title means: hilia plia is Greek for "a thousand ships."
- On a tragic sidenote, the fleet couldn't sail until Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter, Ifigenia; th whole sordid tale can be found in the Aeschylus play, Agamemnon.
