One of the most famous scenes, in the Kunqu Opera form of Chinese theatre, is that of "The Swaying Reeds." In it, the character of Zhang Fei captures and humiliates the great strategist of the Wu kingdom, Zhou Yu.

According to cultural tradtition, Zhang Fei captured Zhou Yu, a great Wu general. After humiliating him, Zhang Fei set him free.
