Melqart was the protector-god for the city of Tyre, the ancestral city of the Carthaginians. The Barca family was especially devoted to Melqart, making pilgrimmages to Tyre and building temples to him in their Spanish colonies.

Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
As is, one will notice missing elements, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; card names and ability titles are English, rather than Punic.
History in Brief
King of the City
{coming eventually}
Trivia
- The Barca weren't the only fans of Melqart; "Hamilcar" was a common name, meaning "brother of Melqart."
