Scipio Africanus was the son of a consul, and both father and son fought Hannibal Barca and Carthage during the Second Punic War. After years of stalemate, and Hannibal rampaging through Italy, the Romans turned to Africanus for leadership. He first swept through the Carthaginian holdings in Iberia (Spain), and then in Africa. Finally, on the doorsteps of Carthage, Publius Scipio Africanus defeated Hannibal in the Battle of Zama, thus making Rome the War's victors.
Status of Set 8
Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
As is, one will notice things missing, since the card hasn't been finished. There's no artist or flavor text; ability titles are English, rather than Latin.
