The Alamo, a mission-turned-fortress in San Antonio, was the site of a famous siege during the Texas Revolution. Though the defenders were killed to a man, they inspired other Texan soldiers.

Command Position: Opposing Warriors cannot move outside of their turns.
Taken in a 13-day siege, in which all Texan combatants, including Jim Bowie, were killed, the Alamo came to serve as a rallying cry for the Texas Revolution.
