Gorlois, one of Uther Pendragon's retainers, had a beautiful wife name Ygerna. So beautiful, King Uther wanted a taste. With the help of Merlin the Wise, Uther takes on the appearance of Gorlois, seducing Ygerna. Coincidentally, Gorlois dies that very night. The son conceived from this union is Arthur, the once and future king. Depending on the version of the story, Uther and Ygerna do eventually marry.

Note: This card was never printed. The final version from the design team has been spoiled to players on the Anachronism forums. There's no telling whether or not this card will be printed, and if it were, that it'd have the same text as the spoiled version.
