- Zartosht was the main character of Friedrich Nietzsche's most well-known treatise, Also Sprach Zarathustra (Thus Spoke Zarathustra).
- Richard Straus composed an orchestral piece of the same name as Nietzsche's book. You're probably very aware of it's opening bars; the moving pictures have used it constantly since Kubrick did in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
- The deity in the monotheistic Zoroastrianism is Ahuramazda.
